Default Swapping pistions and rods?!?

Sup all,

Did a compression test on my plant and its not well. cyl #4 is at 75!! I pulled my pistons today and found the the ring land is cracked on #4 and #3. So I'm considering slapping in a set up forged pistons and rods at the moment. My question is, If I were to stick with stock bore and change my pistons, rods, connecting rod bearings, main bearings, and do slight hone on the cylinder walls, would this be sufficient?? would I have to rebalance my bottom end? I know I should do a complete build(ie machine shop) however I need to get my car on the road as soon as possible. Any info would help!!

I would say that'd be fine. That's basically all I did with my rebuild and it's been fine for thousands of miles.

yea just run a hone through it. i deally you want to take it to a machine shop and have them hone it to the piston specs. but just check what the clearances are and you might be okay.

Needs rebalenced.
Big rods, different pistons on stock crank ? The "bob weight" is different meaning that the old rotating ***. was lighter basiclly.

That's IMO. I'm the honda guy with low compression turbo, what do it know ?
