Supra pistons + B16 rods
I doubt supra pistons would fit in a honda engine. What engine are you talking about? Just cuz its from a supra doesnt mean it'll work on your car. Specifics man.

hey people, sorry about the suddent disappearance. I've been having problems getting on the net over the past few days. Yes the deal is still on.. for those of you who want to know what you get, and missed the old post, then here it is again:
B16A rods, 2nd hand, good condition = US$95.00 for FOUR connecting rods.
Toyota 1G-GTE pistons, 2nd hand, good condition = US$170 for SIX pistons.
Toyota 1G-GTE piston rings pack, brand new = US$70, package contains piston rings for SIX pistons.
Connecting rod machine work cost = US$50
The pistons and rings must be bought in packs of 6, as that's how I get them (don't forget the 1G-GTE is a 6 cylinder twin-turbo supra engine, with pistons that coincedently have the same diameter as our 75mm D16 engines ) Having 2 spare pistons and rings is handy just incase you happen to break something
this setup will allow you to boost 1 bar (14.7psi) on your engine daily, as long as you have a BLOCKGUARD, lowered C/R (my C/R on my engine at the moment sits at 8.2:1 and its not sluggish at all - even with the Air conditioning on), and PROPER FUEL MANAGEMENT (like a Hondata or other standalone). Max boost (i'd recommend only to use at the track) that the pistons can take is about 1.3 bar. Boost higher than that, and you're on your own.. B16A rods hold up to the boost quite well.. i've only managed to bend one since using this combo, and that was because I was boosting at about 1.6 bar one night when I was racing with a Porsche
those who are seriously interested, please e-mail me your address at nathan@samart.co.th so that I can find out how much it would cost to send the parts to you via DHL Courier, then you will be able to know how much total you will need to send to me.

If its about 1 mm lower like he said, CR will be about 8.1:1.
It also matters on how high the dome of the piston is. I think the n/a pistons of the b16 engine have a higher dome, than the turbo pistons of the Supra, I think the Supra pistons are completly flat. Therefore the lower cr.
Whats about with the reliefs for the valves in the cylinders. Do they fit?!

i'm looking for a better picture, but this is the only one I can find.

they are toyota 1G-GTE pistons, and this is what happens if you push too much boost with no proper fuel management

Hey everyone,
I've decided to wait until I get my B18C in (should be another 2-3 weeks) so that I can pull out the rods and pistons from my D16Y8 and give that to the machine shop in order to have everyone's rods modified in *exactly* the same way as the ones I was using in my SOHC engine. I'd rather do this to get things done right than do it now without a sample and send you guys stuff that might not work, especially since this is international!
I hope everyone understands my reasonings, I think this is the best way to do it. Just a little bit more time..

you guys gotta admit that 90% of the reason you want to do this is just to have Supra pistons in your car!
this piston/rod combo is great for those who want to boost heavy (but not super heavy) without the expensive investments of forged rods and pistons
Are the crank journals on the D16y8 the same size as on my D15b2 (89 crx dx)? If not I will have to build up my spare D16a6 instead...
Keep me updated on this: DJ0820@yahoo.com .

u know, while it does sound cool, it does actually work
