Default Spark blow out??

Alright dynoed my h22 last night made 525whp on about 16psi and started running into spark blow out.We gapped the plugs down some more and it stopped. Then I went for a joy ride on the street and it started again. If i roll into it slow no blow out but if i just stomp down in to it starts again.I've seen cars on our dyno make over 600whp on stock ignition..So my ? is should I just try diffrent wires our should i try a msd and if so which one any input will be help full

thanks Andy

This sounds like throttle tip-in.

I would try a .016"-.020" at least. Every car is different though in relation to plug gap and the strength of the OEM components. I've made well over 400 on a .024" gap and then another set-up needed a .018" for barely 350whp.

you mean you are not running a box and coil,or you are talking about using an msd distributor? i have been having problems as well, but it usually doesn't start till about 700whp.you need to have a pretty good ignition box and coil and you can try gapping them a lttle lower.mine are gapped at .015 right now.i got an msd distributor and it quit blowing out the spark, but the distributor was cutting off all together.i put the stock one back on and it no longer quit but was blowing out the spark again.i just got off of the phone with msd(i sent it back for testing) and they found a few problems with it.i ordered a new m&w ignition box and hopefully when i get my distributor back all will be well

i am suprised you made that much before the spark blew out.you can probably get away with a smaller gap,but you are gonna need an ignition box.get an m&w boxfrom tony1. it has less rf noise
