just wanna see what are the largest dimensions sol owners are squeezing behind those bumpers. would be nice if you post ic dimensions and how hard it was to get in. thanks lots

kinda a bad pic but here goes:





without the lip it sticks out below like 1-1.5"

its a maxrev FMIC which i think is 8.5x20x3" excluding endtanks.

edit: oh yea, it was on a scale of 1-10, about a 3 while 10 being a motorswap.

i had to make custom brackets to push the IC back more because i couldnt fit it behind the stock bumper without hacking it up even more. brackets were basically L shaped and bolted to the reinforcement and the IC is held on them from behind the reinforcement. i also had to trim the reinforcement to move the IC up.

when u say reinforcement do u mean the bumper support? you had to cut into it?

anyone else with any pics? i'm lookin for something that will sit right right up against the bumper support with the top flush against it and i guess it should be a little shorter in height since i dont have a lip. or it could be a good reason for me to get one
i'm thinking one of those long and skinny spearco intercoolers i keep on seeing will fit.

yea i mean the bumper support. the long beam with the foam on it. id suggest the spearco ones they sell on ebay, pretty short in height but long lengthwise.
