Well a couple weekends ago i finally put my motor in. i was not able to put the head on. This weekend i was able to finish putting the axles in along with the shift linkage and all suspension.
I had covered the cylinders so no crap got in there, i took the towels off and i noticed that the top(not the top inside, the top that meets the gasket) has some surface rust. I want to put the head on tonight and am wondering what i can do to remedy this.
Steel wool?
copper spray?
Thanks guys.

try taking a light sand paper to it... or use some type of scotch brite....thats what i would do. Dosent mean its right tho, im sure honda-tech has some procedure for this
I had the same problem. I used a scotch brite pad and went with the grain. You dont want to remove material ruining the flatness.
