Hello Guys im rebuilding my LS/V motor for boost and i got a set of CTR cams that i plan on using i bought all new seals and a set of Type R valve springs as for retainers i had a set of Skunk 2 retainers lying around from a previous build. My question is can i use these retainers without any problems and if so what benefits and be had from this setup.

 

What you have should work. The type r springs will let you rev the engine to about 8900rpms but i wouldnt suggest any higher than that.
