Default Skunk 2 Pro 1 Cams

installed a set of these on my boosted b18c. idled fine on start up. i noticed that the idle tone was much heavier than those of the itr's cams. went to street tune it and was like WTF. It sounded like a n/a high compression engine reving to 10k. it screamed so much like an all motor car. is this normal for the car to scream like that with the pro 1 cams?

Default huh?

1) Those are MUCH bigger cams than ITRs.

2) How is the tune? Do they run fine and make power?

3) They 'scream'? Do you mean they are louder or did the tone change......give us something remotely useful to work with here.

just a rough tune @ 11psi on pump. these cams takes more fuel. the tone definitely changed. it sounds like a F1 car. will be tuning at a higher boost on the dyno with race fuel.

Do you've any dyno sheets for comparison? Would be interesting to see how big of a difference there is. What's your setup?

no dyno sheet for comparison. tony1 had a test while back with these same cams.
I don't expect to see results as tony1 had, as his setup is more extreme than mine's. but there is definitely gains to be seen with these cams.

setup is B18C1 84mm, 9:1 CR, Portflow head with .5mm oversized valves, Edelbrock Intake, 70mm TB, FR Ram Horn Mani, Gt40r (for now, have a BW in the waiting).

Probably a result of more overlap and the relatively long duration on the exhaust side. Of they make power, I wouldn't be too hung up on the sound.
