sizing denso plugs?
my car came stock with NGK iridiums. 03 Accord. NGK does not make a plug two steps colder that's still an iridium plug, so I've moved to denso. I'm trying to size their iridium plugs and the scale has me a little confused. tech's not open right now and I want to know.
I'm looking at IK20 as stock replacement, is the IK22 2 steps colder or the IK24? Their scale raises by even numbers except for a special IK21 plug listed. That IK21 is throwing a wrench in the scale.

if ou pick up the next issue of OverRev Magazine at your nearest race shop, it will supply you with the exact information you are looking for. To answer your question, this is directly quoted from the tech guru at denso, you only need to go one step colder if you are gaining about 75-100 horsepower. so for every 75-100 hp you go a step colder. Look up your stock replacement part number and then go a step colder form there...

denso is the best spark plug you can get.... the iridium electrode is a lot smaller and is a lot stronger than ngk's... theres a reason why a lot of pros run the Densos and not the ngk's
