Default should i trade?

my current setup
gsr block, itr pistons, b16 head, type r valve springs, gsr tranny. car burns a lil oil, i haven't done a compression test on it yet. I've been piecing together a turbo kit for it. My friend wants to trade me an LS motor and ls tranny plus practicaly new act 6 puck clutch and 1200 dollars for my motor. Think its a good trade? My car is a 00 hatch. Would it be worth it to trade? the engine has 146k miles but seems to be in very very good condition. I plan on doing a compression test. if the numbers come back good do you guys think its a good deal? i still need injectors, bov, wastegate, IC piping, and ecu. but if i traded couldn't i use his ecu? its from a 95 so its obd1. i was only planning on running like 6-7 psi on the other motor because of the compression. i think i could run 8-9 on the ls wiht a nice tune. should i do it? the turbo is a garret t3/t4e 57 trim .63 a/r stage 3 wheel. 3 inch dp. what kind of power could i put down on 8-9 psi on the LS and 6-7 psi on the poor mans type r? thanks

LS trannys break easy when u put power/traction to them. Also you will probably want to put alot of GSR parts in the LS so you might as well keep the GSR

What the hell are you talking about, LS tranny bsreak easy when you put power to them? They're just as strong as any other OEM honda trans, just the gearing sucks for turbo VTEC motors.

LS trannys have 4.266 compaired to 4.4 true but i belive it is the differential inside the tranny (spyders and such) are alot weaker then GSR trannys as they are not designed for the power and rpms, trust me I have blown several LS trannys - not grinding just driving along and having a hole blow out the bottom and all the gears will fall out that hole

Ok. Let courtney green know he's doing something wrong/impossible when he went 10.0 @ 140 MPH on a stock LS tranny and diff.

are you trading cars too? or just motors? i think you can do a lot to the ls with that 1200 to build it for boost. shoot for 15psi!
