This has happened quite a few times now so more than a random occurrence.

I’m driving at a sustained cruise speed (70mph) for 10 to 15 minutes,
Not in positive boost
AFR’s are on the dot 14.7
Lift off gas for slowing traffic and AFR’s lean out to 17’s to 20’s CEL lights up,
Nothing recorded in data logs
Only way to clear the fault is switch off / on engine 3 or 4 times while cursing.
It only seems to do this once in any drive cycle, i.e. once it’s done it once in a journey it doesn’t do it again till next start up.
So it’s consistent and can be replicated
I just don’t know how to narrow down the problem with no data logs?
Done most of the obvious physical checks, ignition, leads, 02, fuel filter, new fuel pump, etc etc etc.

255 in tank

I was wondering if there could be a bug in the software or something along these lines, I’m not convinced it’s the S300 but I would like to rule it out.

what code are you getting?

 

As I said in my opening post, no codes, I can't work that one one out either, car throws a cel but not recorded, data logging is working but for some reason it’s not picking this one up.

 

do you have the lean protection enabled? that might be causing it to throw a code.

 

Turn off the lean protection if you are using it, or change the settings for it. The Honda ecu shuts off the injectors on decel, probably causing your issue..
