revving out of gear

Default revving out of gear

when revving out of gear should u see boost on your boost gauge? or is it only in gear u build up boost? I cant see why it would be any dfferent i would of thought u see boost whatever... can anyone set me straight on this? do u see more boost when in gear? higher gears lower gears? thanks guys

unless its a tiny tiny turbo you wont see boost in neutral.

Boost is built with load on the engine. going up hill for example.

i see, thanks mate. does the boost increase wuite steadily? the reason i ask is that i have no idea what psi the turbo is set up so i wanna be able to back off if i see it rising anywhere over 10psi ... i spose when u take your foot off the pedal the boost will increase spose its common sense just checking as ive never had experience with this before.
