resistor box
aight the section of the forum seems to be my last chance cause everyone in the prelude section are morons and cant answer my question or all the smart people are on vacations.
so what i really really need to know is how to wire a resistor box into my 5th gen prelude. my setup for my turbo project is an obd1 p72 ecu, dsm 450cc injectors, so what i pretty much need to know is how to wire in the resistor box, i kinda have an idea of how to wire in the obd1 clips so all i need to know about is the resistor box. when i searched i found this https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=517274 but i dont really understand what hes talkin about. so can someone help me out please. thanks |
no one here either?.... wow honda-tech is really starting to dissapoint me

Re: (mrbigg9032)
It's very easy. This method will work for any Honda:
On each of your injector clips, you have a signal wire and a power wire. The signal wire will be different on all of the clips, but the power wire will be the same color on each clip. All you have to do is: Cut all of the power wires, strip them and twist them together. Connect these wires to the one wire (usually black) that is different on the resistor box. Then the other four wires on the resistor box go to where you just cut the wires off leading to the injector clip. Order does not matter at all. |
Re: (ccivic)

Thanks, I appreciate that. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif Its not hard and like mentioned it has been covered numerous times. 1) Check for "continuity" which will tell you which wires at the dead end connector connect to your injector clips. 2) Unplug those wires 3) follow 1 of two paths: Path A: Cut those wires and solder them together like mentioned above Path B: Just unplug those wires and plug them into an OEM connector like in my writeup Just remember to check for continuity because not all injector wires turn out to be in the same spot from car to car. |

Re: resistor box (zexifiedlude)
Not tho thread jack but, do automatically have to wire in the resistor box or are there engine harnesses (oem) that you can purchase and already have the ready to go. If there are, do you need to up grade any of the components if running larger injectors than what that box was accountable for?
When I say engine harness I mean the whole thing, like out of a obd(?) honda. |
