The part number on the injector is sl9-550. I tried searching but could not get a definitive answer. The RC injectors do not fit as far down into the manifold as far as the oem injectors. Am I just Supposed to install the O-ring and let them sit only a 1/4 inch deep in the IM?

Look in the intake maniofld - I had to remove some oem spacers in the manifold. I bet yours has them too. Look in the manifold injector ports for a black plastic spacer. Hope it helps.

They don't sit the same way as oem. Put the o rings in the intake manifold and put the injectors into the fuel rail. Then tighten down the fuel rail and the injectors should seal up kind of on top of the gaskets. As long as the fuel rail is tight and the injectors seal up your fine. Just remember to put the gaskets in the manifold instead of on the injectors.

the small plastic spacers that you guys are talking about (the ones that sit between the injector seal and the IM) have already been removed. I have temporairly taken the RC injector spacers and placed them directly into the IM. Then taken the wider(much wider) d-series injector seals and place them onto the RC injecotrs. This took up for the almost 1/8 gap I was getting with placing the RC injector in the IM with their provided injecotr seals. It seems a bit tight, I cannot move the injectors back and forth like the stock one did but I took care not to over torque them.

I tried to pair the d-series injector seals with the small plastic bushings (bored out to fit the RC's) but this still felt a bit uncomfortably loose to me. If anyone else has any other suggestions pleas give me a shout.

BTW pete, if you could stop by sometime this weekend to take some pics so I can post them up that would be hella sweet.

the problem is not with the o-rings. The problem is that the lower portion of the injector, the part of the injector that fits into the IM is larger than the holes it's supposed to fit into. The plastic rings have been removed and the rc seals are being used but it still didn't work/look right.

You've been told how to install them, they do not seat like factory, you put the O ring in the intake manifold and set the injectors on top, there's a small lip on the bottom of the injectors that seal them. The rings do not slide onto the injectors.

Go install them like you've been told.

Exactly, you tighten down the fuel rail little by little till they just start to bulge the spacer slightly and they will not leak.

Exactly. I thought I had explained it pretty well in my first post but I guess not.
