quick questions
i keep hearing about people running boost on stock blocks, and i hear people saying to atleast shotpeen the rods...
why not just get some ARP rod bolts and replace the old rod bolts?
i mean, i've heard that the rod bolts are the weaker link than the rods themselves and plus replacing the rod bolts would be a lot easier than having to remove the rods.
how much do the ARP rod bolts themselves go for?
i've seen someone say that they're only like $40. is that true?

the rod bolts definately are a weak link, especially on LS/B20 motors. The torque spec is something like 14ft/lbs. ARP's are a mere 40 bucks, but must be installed by a machinist, then resized. If you're sticking with stock rods, you definately want them.
thanx for the info. now all i'm wondering is where to find the ARP rod bolts. would an auto shop carry them or be able to order them? i've looked around online and so far, i've only found some on Summitracing.com but they were listed as Honda 1.8L rod bolts. are these the same?
