questions about b16 stroker kit+turbo
well just as the title says is it a good idea or will it end up as a BIG headache ?????? thinking about doing this for a winter project 1.6 to 2.0
it's not that bad if your already good at building motors... theres just more details and measurements you have to pay attention too. and the cost and waiting time on custom pistons or rods, or deck plate, depending on how you set it up...
my 2.0L b16 didn't work for me because my sleeves moved.

Im building a b18 2.26l at the moment using a crower kit its a masive operation.
ive totaly machine out the cylinder bores. After welding in one of my own block braces. Now im maching down cast liners that will be direct into the water jacket.
The only problem is when its assembled the deck will only have 2mm land between the cylinders for the haed gasket to seal.
The crower rods that came in the kit need maching slightly so they fit into the piston, the wrist pin boss is too high and the top edge fouls the underside of piston crown.
Other than that its a great idea - you can run a bigger turbo, less lag and loads of load end torque when off boost.
