question about HP rating turbos...

Default question about HP rating turbos...

Say you had a turbo and it was rated at "300 whp"
what happens if you install it in a 300 whp n/a car?
will it not add any power?

Turbos are rated to flow a certain amount of lbs/min. That equates into a certain amount of hp, so yes a turbo can be too small for a certain engine to be worth putting on.
