Default question about header wrap

ok i just finished wrapping my down pipe with that header wrap and was wondering since my down pipe is really close to my intercooler piping, can i wrap my intercooler piping to block heat? or is that a big no no? some one told me that if i do that the header wrap will trap heat inside teh intercooler piping instead of keep it out. any advice?

If you wrapped the downpipe I would just leave the intercooler piping..

ThermoTec makes this stuff called Thermo Shield tape for IC/intake piping, hoses, AC lines, etc. That's what I wrapped my IC piping with. It's like shiny alu tape, with ThermoTec fiber embedded in it.
