Default Quality of Thermal exhaust

I just got my 3" Thermal turbo exhaust....

... and i have to say the quality is not as good as i have expected.

The quality of the Max Rev downpipe is way better, including the weldings.

Don't get me wrong, i don't want to bash Thermal or say their products are bad quality, but just not as good as i had expected from a $600+ exhaust.

thermal's the best you can buy IMO, other than a custom job.... if they made a 3" for my car, i'd be all over it

It doesn't "suck" and if the exhaust would be $400 i wouldn't say anything, but i expected a little bit more from a $650 exhaust.

The exhaust is already here in Germany so i have to life with it. I just wanted to share my opinion about the Thermal exhaust.

I bought it because everyone here recommended it. I would recommend to get an exhaust from one of the big japanese brands if available.

Thermal is the best hands down. Stop worring about that weld. I dont think anybody is going to spot that weld underneath your car when they are 3 cars lenghts behind.

Yeah, the welds on my Thermal look mildly sketchy like that too, but like someone said...it's mass production, probably a robot weld. I love the way mine sounds/performs.

I wouldn't want to pay $650 for something with welds that look like that either.

That is how all the thermal exhaust look like. It's just mig welds. Your payin more for the actual fitment and quality of the materials than anything else.

It is not neccesary for an exhaust to have "pretty" welds. As long as the welds
are strong, thats all that matters.

if it works and does what it says its going to do who cares what it looks like, I could care less if its tig welded and pretty enough to be on my coffee table but if it fits worth two ***** its worthless. Prime example a prototype set of M3 Headers that are stainless tig welded and beautiful but they dont fit so they sit on my coffee table in my house
