Q about compression ratios
i am going to sleeve my block with 9.0:1 pistons soon, and i have a question. i plan on going turbo in the future, but not near future. am i going to loose power with the new pistons since i am still N/A for a while? because i think for N/A cars, higher compression is better, right? should i just wait until i turbo to sleeve and install the pistons?

Re: Q about compression ratios (dtec)
Yes, you will lose power dropping the compression while staying N/A.

Re: Q about compression ratios (VTEC-DA)
You have to break in any freshly sleeved and assembled motor. Stock ls's are only like 9.5:1 so it won't be much worse than that. I wouldn't let it stop you from sleeving right now. It's better to have that broken in and ready to go when your turbo setup is.

Re: Q about compression ratios (HavokRacing)
might as well sleeve a block and have the rods/pistons installed and break it in then save more for the turbo kit/parts afterwards.
