Default Is this a potential problem

Is this a potential problem?
I am one that always listens to the sound of my engine. lately I noticed something different. When I am decelerating, or when the rpms drop between shifts, the engine sounds like its missing on one or more cylinder.
However, it sounds absolutely fine while idleing or accelerating. There is no change in vac at idle either (21-23hg) I keep a very close on my vac/boost guage. Could this be an ignition or spark plug problem? or what else could it be/

Remember .....it idles and revs perfect . vac reading outstanding, no smoke from breather or exhaust. ........it just sounds (loud exhaust) like its missing while rpms
drop

If your engine is built or turbo'd it's quite normal. All you can really do is upgrade your ignitiont system. It's normal with engine braking though.
