Posssible to bore exhaust housing?!?!
 

well im not sure if this is a stupid question or not but ive been searching for an exhaust housing for a while and i cant seem to find the right a/r with a p-trim.

so my question is..."Is it possible to bore out a smaller trim housing to make it fit a larger trim wheel???

Yes you can. I believe full-race stuffs the p-trim wheel in the .63-.82a/r housings.

Yes Full-Races T3/T67 HO uses this method. They put the T4 P trim wheel inside the T3 exhaust housing. It works very well. I have that Turbo on my car and love it https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

you have to take them the exhaust housing and the exhaust wheel that’s going in so they can machine it to fit and have to proper clearance’s...... someone local to you might be able to do it but you would have to check with them to see if they have the proper machines and so on

would a .50 a/r be okay for a P trim wheel?...i was realll lookin for like a .58 but i cant find any of those either

I would never go that small with that big of a wheel. That's why you can't find anything. The wheel flows so much more than that housing will, that it's pointless. Even a .68 housing is small for a P trim wheel. Why not use a smaller turbo if you need it to spool quicker?

.50 A/R is the A/R ratio of a TO4E compressor cover, I have never heard of a .50 A/R turbine housing, unless it's some akward diesel thing. A .58 A/R housing is a T4 turbine housing, and turbonetics sells .58 A/R P-trim turbine housings off the shelf. Don't mix up compressor and turbine A/R ratios, because they don't have anything to do with each other, and compressor A/R ratio has a much smaller impact on performance than turbine A/R does.
