Is it possible to replace the exhaust wheel on a GT35R ?

Default Is it possible to replace the exhaust wheel on a GT35R ?

It's my understanding that the center section is non-servicable, but does that mean you can not replace the exhaust wheel?

uhh i am pretty sure the gt series turbo's do not have servicable center sections you gotta get a whole new center...

There was just a thread like this the other day, cannot buy the wheels seperately, you need a whole new CHRA.

ball bearing gt turbo's are NOT rebuildable!!!!! must buy new CHRA

Although not nearly as costly as a bb turbo, my sc61 did the exact same thing. What caused it was a piece of the gasket where it bolts to the manifold broke off and fell into the turbo and shot out the exhaust, i ran it for another 6-7 months until it started to smoke and when i sent it off to garret they had to change everything except the housings.

btw- i dont run any gasket on the turbo now for that very reason, no leaks without it anyway.
