Default PICS OF MY PROGRESS! (Turbo)

Here they are....

Well first I have to give a big thanks to my friend Matt. He helped me all these late nights working on it and also has taken the majority of my pictures. (he posts on a different forum. He has a B16 del sol )

The progress isn't complete yet. I still need to finish the piping going from the turbo to the drivers side corner panel. (i have it from the intercooler going to there)

I have the resistor box install.

VAFC and oil lines need to be installed and im done then. If I feel like it ill install the walbro, but i dont think i need it at 7psi and i want to see if it affects performance compared to a stock pump.

Tell me your thoughts, and i NEED someone to helpe me with my oil line setup. Im missing a fitting. (the male end that goes to the turbo. I dont know what kind it is)

Well that's it for now

I'm curious....did you bother to check ground clearance of the intercooler? YOu didn't cut the re-bar, and i would think your intercooler is going to scratch a lot... Just checking.

OK, the wastegate was added this afternoon (internal). Im not completely done yet. Just oil lines, VAFC, and a little piping and im done

The IC is WAY up in the air. Since the pics at an angle it looks like it touches the ground lol. just noticed that. Yeah it's above the bar so it's all good. Also, it doesn't touch the bar in the back (it's ahead of it so it's just being held by the brackets)

Thanks to (sorry guys, I forgot to add this )

HAVOK RACING: That manifold kicks ***

Also, if anyone has done oil lines for a T3 turbo, i need to know what kind of male fitting i need for the oil inlet on the turbo. I've got two females, and I dont think they're supposed to be lesbian's, so i kinda wanna put a male in there.

napa radiator hose? I used that stuff too. I like the idea of those exhaust transition pieces..couple bucks at pepboys right? I should have done that instead of spending 17.50 for each silicone trasition.

What are you going to do about the DP ? I have the same turbo ( or at least the same O2 housing ).. T-3, .60/.63 60-trim from a thunderbird ?? My O2 housing faces the block as well, I wasn't sure how I'm gonna get around it...
So I was hoping you could enlighten me...

7psi on that turbo is like 12 psi on a TD04, it moves a lot of CFM for a civic..

Yup the guy at Napa gave it to me for 4 bux lol.

BUT i can't find a big enough radiator hose I need that badly, but every Napa I go to says they done have radiator hose that big of a diameter.... and then they bring out that dumbass gas hose. (i've got plenty of that )

Ill check the one where im going to college tomorrow though. Maybe they have some

Ahhh yes to answer that question....im not sure yet.

Im going to go to a local performance shop to see if they can make a downpipe with tight enough bends so i can somehow fit a downpipe in there, otherwise cheap turbo sells one that isn't bent 90 degress for $25.

Ill prolly end up buying the cheapturbo.com one. They have internal and external. Ill be buying the internal. It's just a straight one with a hole.

ALso, now that i hear that, im glad i switched my wastegate. I broke the 10psi one and am now forced to use the 7 psi one. GOOD thing.

Home Depot ones always work for temporary or under 7-10psi. remember that the 2" ones work for 2.5" piping and the 1.5" ones work on 2" piping though. the 1.5" to 2.0" coupler works on throttle body good as well! ghetto but cheap and somewhat effective.

They won't explode, just rapp them in duct tape before you boost on them..

The O2 housing you IM'd me about is prob. the one off a volvo T3 ( I have one, but the wastegate puck is missing off it !! ).

Good to see other boosted sols. I would spring on correct I/C piping and connectors. That way you cannot use the ricer " My intercooler piping popped off" excuse. I hear it around here alot.
