OT : blew my GTR engine
on a highway last night , the car meant to boost 18psi max , suddenly it went to 25psi, engine shut down straight away
my mechanic pulled out the engine , 4 cylinders walls are fucked , the pistons chipped off, rods still alrite
my luvly rb26dett engine

But Supras are funny looking boats that rich kids and mid-life crisis dads drive. GTRs are super cool cause they are JDM babee! I really am liking them more and more (and the Supras less and less).

dont say that all people with surpa's are rich kidsand ****, not true... if you want power you gotta choose the right one... you struggle to get the power from a gtr while keeping it stock when with a supra you can make over 900 on a stock bottom end

he has head work done by my shop, a t88h, hks 272's, tuned with a gforce vpc afc, 850cc injectors, all at 35lbs... your friend should know who he is, name of the owner is Jesus Rivera and very well known in supra comunity ask more questions if interested..

I doubt that, but I'm not going to argue. I wasn't trying to **** you off, but that's the image I have of those cars. Let's put it this way...do you know anybody that works at MacDonald's that drives a badass Supra that they paid for and that they do the work on?
It's my opinion of the car....so don't tell me what to say, if you don't like it simply post that you like Supras and you think that most Supra owners are average joes that work hard for their money and that they are a self made man like I am.

dude im not getting pissed off.. yes its true that some are rich kids but not all of them are.... i love skylines myself but i know that they cant hold power like supra's unless you build them up all the way....not trying to start any sort of flame war

I know nothing about either car except they're really fast 
Hondas are my thing aside from Mustangs, but the Skylines are cool cars. I just don't like the Supras and I've never met a Supra owner that wasn't a ******* (but I'm sure there are some ok guys out there driving them....probably the non turbo "cheapo" model though).

the only thing that limits the supra motor to 8-900hp is the map sensor. The car runs a 2bar map sensor which runs out at 28psi. People will push it to 31 on the VPC set up and have made over 800. But now that the AEM is out and people start tuning w/ 4bar map sensors you should be seeing some 1000whp stock bottem end supras in the near future.

yea, my friend is also runing a 5bar map sensor.... my friend wich is now a supra owner also owns one of the top 5 civics that got into the 9's when runing 9's was a big thing. he still has the civic but wants to sell it...

the owner of the honda is Angel Robles, were trying to bring it to our shop but its still sitting down in south florida with john brown

The 2JZ-GTE is perhaps the most incredible motor ever made for a production vehicle...mass production. It truely is a factory detuned RACE motor. The RB26DETT is great, by all means...but the only thing that keeps a Skyline ahead of a Supra is its superior traction. AWD helps a ton when you are making that kind of power. My buddy has an R33 putting 505 at the wheels, and that car accelerates like a bat out of hell. No wheelspin...just torque pushing you into the next time zone. However, if the Supra were based on an AWD platform, there would be no contest.

but put the skyline next to a supra from a roll and teh supra will pull it... from the hole good luck for the supra b/c of traction problem.

900 crank or wheel horsepower? I'm not contesting your statement, I just want to know what specific setup you've seen produce that much power on stock internals. It took a local Supra owner pistons, rods, headwork, HKS 274 cams,a large (SP74) turbo, and an AEM EMS to make 900.x HP at around 35psi.

im guessing it has a sequential tranny... i think the fastest supra so far is the venom but not sure (7.9@171) but run them side by side stock bottom ends and see who wins, and no sequential tranny...

Skylines are great cars but supra engines are insane... putting 900hp on stock bottom end is no joke.. There is yet any other engine that I have seen do that... They are good looking cars and I would get one if I could afford it... Not all supra owners are *********...lots of them are actually cool..dont judge them by the few supra owners you met... the reason why u arent saying that skyline owners are ********* is because you havent met any of them...if you met as many skyline owners as supra owners... u'd probably think all skyline owners were ********* too..
