Default ordered new pistons?

i order new pistons to for my h23 i had 87mm BRC 9.8:1 pistons and i had a problem and melted 2 pistons in on just 15psi so i ordered some raceeng/wesco 87mm 8.5:1 pistons and i did want that low of comp but all they had was 12.1:1 and 8.5:1 in stock so u know i did not want 12.1 but i been thinking about getting my head milled 20thousands to bring my comp back up to about 9.5:1 do u think this is a good idea or not

dont mill your head, that is BAD. let me repeat, DONT DO IT. Are you keeping stock sleeves? You can only use the same bore pistons as stock if you dont plan on resleeving, im sure you know that. I recommend waiting till they get in the compression pistons in stock or having them custom made.

it will just advance the cam timing a little right
But cam gears can fix that

DONT MILL YOUR HEAD. period. end of story. Is your block 20 over? I know JE has 9.0:1 pistons 20 over, and race engineering should have them in stock.

i may just have to deal with the 8.5:1 and just turn the boost up even more

I just installed my set of Weisco B16 pistons and they are nice. They are much lighter than JE, which is what i previously had, with there new design and alot cheaper. I think you will like them!
