Default Oil Pressure

Curious if I am going to have to worry about any oil pressure problems with my oil setup?

I have a remote oil filter kit and my lines go like so :

-remote oil filter block adapter-->T--one side is turbo feed, other side goes to remote oil filter

Just wondering if teeing off the filter supply line will cause any pressure problems?

Here's a crappy pic

The oil pressure should be fine, i wouldny have that tee hanging off the block like that, it could break

I'd Tee off the filter RETURN.
Otherwise you're short circuiting unfiltered oil back through the turbo and into the pan without filtering it. A small quantity, yes, but filtered oil through a turbo sounds like a much better idea. I'm splitting a -4 line off my -10 oil cooler return.

it depends on what size lines your using.

just get a oil pressure gauge and make sure you in spec...

Thanks....lines to remote filter are 3/8 and turbo feed lines are -3 an. I will switch the T to the filter return port like the suggestion.

Do you really think it might break off? The brass fittings seem pretty strong.

it could in theory with the weight of the brass T's, leak a bit, but i dont think it will break off.

the best way is to run a line from the back the block to a T you have mounted somwhere, dont run the T off the block directly.

you will be fine either way though. i ran the T for years of the block with no issues.

Definately.

You want clean oil running through your turbo. The bearings can get damaged if there are even small particles in the oil supply.

And it wouldn't be that hard to switch so I would definately do it if I were you.
