oil light on...

does this always mean low or no oil pressure? its a built gsr turbo. im looking to buy it from someone on the board, but he said the oil light just came on and now it is smoking a little and there was a ticking noise at 2-3k rpm's. when he took it somewhere, the mechanic just said it needed a valve adjustment. should i be worried? any ways to check to see if its an oil pump or the motor is f'ed? let me know if you need anymore info to diagnose the problem.

if the oil light is coming on and its ticking then I would STAY away from it!!!! unless you want to replace the motor soon https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

Stock Honduh oil pressure switch it a *five* psi switch. If the switch is bad... I've only heard of this happening once, but it is possible... then you could walk with a decent car for pennies if you play it right.

If the oil pressure switch is right, then consider the bottom end and turbo shot, and figure how much it (and the work to fix it) is worth to you then.
