Default OEM head gasket?

Im going to replace my head gasket along with all of the other top end gaskets before boosting. Are the OEM gaskets the best choice for a stock motor with 8-10 psi of boost?

Some people like cheaping out and lowering compression with them but it is not the right way to do it. It also changes the distance from the crank to the cam gears so your cam timing gets off.

Lower compression with lower comp pistons, or ... just leave them

Dustin, I dont see how it would change the cam timing. Can you extrapulate this for me?

OEM is good no dispute, but I find SCE copper with o-rings even good"er"!

Ok, you are changing the distance between the block and the head. It's just like when you mill a head or deck a block, only opposite. The extra material between the head and block would actually advance your total cam timing. Just the opposite happens when you mill/deck. This is why cam gears are important on any motor.

I run 15psi on the stock head gasket and it works fine.
