new guy here, bov not working...
 

i just put my turbo kit on my ls a couple of days ago and the bov doesnt seem to be working right. can it be too big for my set up, its a tial 50mm. when u let off the gas it seems it opens a second to late. im only running 6-7 psi. i got 2.5in piping. any suggestions would be nice, thanks

Do you have a vacuum line attached to it, and is the vacuum line after the throttlebody.. Also there should be a place on the BOV to adjust the tension on the spring..

yea, check the vacuum source, but from what i've heard the tial is a poor performer on low boost setups due to the size of the bov.

Yea check the vacuum source and try to loosen the tension on the spring in there.

i got the vacuum line ran to regulator for now, should i "t" it into the brake booster, i didnt think u could adjust the tial bov

yea, brake booster is the best place to pul vacuum. the bov is non adjustable i think. its dependent on the spring inside the bov if i remember correctly

ok so now i gotta buy a new one cuz i dont wanna run much more then that, which one(s) do you guys suggest

I wouldnt "t" into the map sensor(if you have an external one) or the fpr for anything.. Those are things that should be ran on there own in my mind..

If you dont have a good vacuum source to your BOV then you might run the risk of leaking pressure under boost and not creating a vacuum fast enough to pull your BOV open without and compressor surge..

Just "T" your BOV into the brake booster, Or just to test it you can remove the line that goes to your PCV valve and hook the BOV vacuum line there on the manifold..
