i have the hks and it works well for me. it doesnt matter what it sounds like as long as it gets the job done. in the recent turbo magazine they did a test of alot of them and the hks seemed to come out on top. everyone has their opinions though

Blitz works great up to 18psi. nice woooosh sound. Not obnoxious like the HKS or Greddy Type S.

well i got the blitz DD on my setup. its ok i guess. but if ur goin for sound the turbo xs rfl bov is the loudest ive heard. imma switch to a old school jdm trust greddy type S with the black instead of purple top.

The HKS sound becomes annoying because every Eclipse GS-X and GS-T has one on it, and it is too high pitched. Go with the Tial. The SSBOV is mainly to draw attention to yourself.

You can always buy a diff insert for the hks ssq and make it deeper.

Bosch std bypass valve $40!

It works, its cheap, and it will hold your 7 psi all day long. Don't waste your money on some shiny BOV that sounds like "bird raping". get something that works.

oh, btw, the bosch one is super quiet.

Hmmm...

I had the bosch on my old setup (I'm pretty sure you knew that), and it was actually quite loud! It had a nice deep "Psshhhh".

The Bosch valves can also hold boost up to 16psi from what I've read!

If you want a good metal BOV that has a nice deep whoosh, get the TurboXS Type H. (Not the RFL)

Not to hijack but are you guys talking abouth the plastic bosche BOVs? If so, how do you attach them to the intake piping?

What I did:

Get a 1.5" pipe. Cut a little section of it, and weld it to the charge pipe. Use a peice of radiator hose and clamps to attach the BOV to the fitting you just welded.

If you want that insanly loud (headach causing) BOV sound every time you let off the throtal then by all means, go ahead.

I just like the Type H's "whoooosh" sound more than the RFL's horn enhanced "chaoooohh". To me that seems kinda "ricer".

Don't get me wrong here. Both are very well made, and will perform like they should (as long as you oil the piston).

Everyone has an ******* (opinion). Go with what you like.

Sports Compact did one also, and they showed Dyno graphs. I am fan of the Type S but it did not do so well in the review. I have to agree with you 100% Lame review and it's candy coated....

Could you give some more info on the sport compact car reveiw? I think it would be interesting to see.

Thanks
