Piecing together is always your best bet. And as long as its tuned well, it can be very reliable.

peakboost are awesome, and make great power.
I'm not sure if their a/c compatible kit ever came out though..

Full-race also makes a really nice kit.

Make sure you go to a good tuner. Whatengine management do you wanna go with?

also full race is way spendy compared to peakboost and other kits

i was thinking about having john vega burn me a chip for iginition and fuel maps b/c my ecu is already socketed. or i could solder in a datalogging port and mess with crome what do you guys think would be the best bet for a reliable tune for now and money wise. i understand tuning isnt anything to go cheap on and is the key to your build. just for money wise at this time i plan on saving for a aem or dif. stand alone system! what would you guys do at this piont for tuning thanks for your help

bang for the buck, F-R is outrageous, but if you want a turbo kit that will out last your car, thats your kit. Bang for the buck on a good kit, peakboost for sure. i think you can get into a peakboost kit for well under 3k. and i highly reccomend, boostfed.com terry is a very reputable seller, ive bought a lot of stuff thru him, and he has some pretty competitive prices and is honest and has great service!

ya well i have heard problems with the manifolds cracking although there warrentied i just dont want the hassle im thinking about going with the vitcor edelbrock kit that for around 400 hp with it comes with a ball bearing gt28... and peak boost and other company supposely dont offer ball bearing apps.

i am also going with the eagle stroker kit that takes a gsr stock displacement of 1.8 to a 2.1 with a 8mm longer stroke the kit is like 1200 and comes with je pistons eagle rods bearings wrist pins rings pretty much a complete bottom end kit

PeakBoost

Best bang for the buck in my opinion for a 'kit'

get the Peakboost kit and honestly, you dont need a ballbearing turbo...people misunderstand the uses for those turbos...at your power level, a stock T3/T04E will work just fine and save you some money for other things like cams which will help out far more than a BBCHRA

That's why they have lifetime warranty's. The only one I saw break was an older unit. Ken replaced the manifold with a brand new one. You can't beat that

With a company like Peakboost, on the EXTREMELY RARE occasion a manifold fails, you know they're going to back their work and either repair or replace the manifold immediately
