need help?! aebs head stud torque specs
 
i tried the search only showed up 3 post didn't help at all


i know the stud itself has a torque spec....then the actual nut has a torque spec too....help would greatly appreciated trying to finalize my swap by puttin my head on

I don't want to insult your intellegence, but have you called AEBS themselves to get info? Ben has the information available to you..

The stud it self should be 8-10 ft lb's. As for the nut, what motor is this going in?

its a b18c1 gsr block...with type R head...

nope i haven't called aebs that why i posted on honda-tech.com knowin someone here had to install these b4 and have the info on hand....

thanks now i just need the specs for the actual nut

I could be wrong but i think its 63 ft lb's.

I FINALLY GOT THE INFO...

stock factory pre-stage(first stage)
stock factory is 64ft/lbs

aebs
10ft/lbs for the actual stud
then 30ft/lbs pre-stage
then 64ft/lbs

thanks to redz0ne performance

hopefully this helps anyone else in the future...

btw these specs were used on my friends gsr motor and my type R motor

Since we are on the subject of head studs. I have some ARP head studs. Have the head off, have the nuts off. What I want to know is how exactly you get the studs out of the block? I know it has the hex on the top, and I tried using an alan wrench to get it out, but that beast is stuck in there.

Any special way to get these out? Thanks guys
