Default My first FI build

hello all, just wanted to show my recent build up. this is my first attempt at a turbo build up. i am trying to do everything right. i started off with an SSAC kit on my GSR swap in EK. and when the manifold broke 4 days later i decided since the car was going to be down while the new ramhorn was being built, i may as well build the engine up also

so, i will still be using the XS power turbo and intercooler and piping until i can afford to upgrade. i didn't change them out yet cause i decided to put my money into the inside and the other stuff is changable without much work once i get the money

so enough talk..here is the good stuff

84mm GE sleeved and o-ringed B18a
JE 9:1
Eagle H-Beams
ARP Studs and Rod Bolts
All new Honda bearings, pumps, head gasket, and t-belt
Clutch Masters 8lb Flywheel, Fx500 PP and 4 Puck Disc
GSR Head
GSR tranny
AEBS intake mani
Buddy Club Cam Gears
T3/T04e
3" DP
undecided on the exhaust
turbonetics Evolution w/g
greddy type RS bov
RC 450's for now...waiting on 880's
walbro 255 pump
BBK 68mm throttle body
Hondata Chipped P72
Hondata S200B
turbo mani and downpipe should be in on thursday, with big hopes of driving on the weekend.

please remove that unorthadox crank pulley before you destroy your oil pump/bearings/rods/crank. put a stock one on it that uses the rubber damper type material or buy a real dampener.

Why go through the trouble of o-ringing the block if your goals are 350-400whp? We've had stock blocks make that number without headgasket issues. Im not trying to be a dick, just wondering, the build looks nice.

i want this engine to last a while

also o-ringing didn't wasn't any trouble at all. the grooves were ordered when i ordered the blocl from Golden Eagle, it came with the wire. also i didn't run into any issues with the ends meeting up perfectly like most people have. i too my caliper and measured the size of diameter of the o ring groove, mulitply by 3.14 to get the circumference then cut wire to length. no trouble at all

That looks great, but you should at least get a turbo other than an SSAC one before you finish it.

A better seal. If the cost was minimal and you were running higher compression, I'd say it's probably worth it. Although... if this is a 'doing it right' build, there shouldn't be any need for extra sealing.

Looks good
