i'm currently using a non-detergent 40 grade motor oil for the break in. i'm planning to change the oil when i hit the 200, 500 and 1000 mile mark.
so, during the first oil change at 200 and thereafter, should i stick with the non-detergent oil or would i be able to use a multi grade oil such as 10-40 and stick with that for the 500 and 1000 mile marker

I just used castrol 10w30 standard off the shelf stuff with detergent... I've got about 1500 miles on it now, and I changed the oil at 200, 500 and every 500 miles since.
I use a breather filter and there is NO blowby or oil smoke out the tailpipe at all even when boosting 8 PSI... I'm VERY happy with my Endyne Pistons and the rings that came with them... Power Seals? Can't remember.
Only oil smoke I get is from too high Oil pressure until it warms up andthe turbo seals letting a LITTLE leak... blows blue a little when the car is warming up.
