k my new motor has got 600 miles... i bolted the kit up 2day and the motor gets extreamly hot.. my temp gauge on gauge cluster and aem ems is normal... but when you put your hand on the hood, feels like its boiling.. i know there is alot of friction and that is causing it.. but is that ok for now? any ideas? thanx

 

Turbo's produce a lot of heat. If you are running extremely retarded timing it can also lead to the EGT's being on the high side.

 

i hope it goes away after a few more miles on the mtr and tuning... its weird my radiator hoses get really stiff...tiught it might be my thermo but i just put a new one in??

 

do you have any clue what type of a/f's you are running? Wanna share your ignition map?

You may just be a little over cautious though. It's had to tell how 'hot' is 'hot' over the interwebnet.

 

runing untuned basemap that i had b4 wiuth the 450s... now 750s i just changed that runuing same exact map.. but im not going into boost or anything just driving from point a to b till i can tune it

All the temp gauge's tell you is how hot the coolant is.Im sure the radiator and fan take most of the heat away.If the engine feel's abnormally hot,it could be caused by your untuned setup.High egt's can cause the engine bay to accumulate a ton of heat,though the temp. gauge read's normal.That doesnt mean the engine is ok,it just mean's the coolant isnt too hot.You should have the setup tuned via a wideband.Do you have any idea what your a/f is?Has the setup ever been partially tuned via a wideband or at the very least a egt gauge?

 

its at p1 atuo getting tuned... thanx and most of the heat was from the full race mani.. **** gets hot
