Ls/Vtec Turbo!! (Need Help Deciding)
I have the following setup right now:
My motor is also a B18B HEAD JG Pro Series Head(P&P,milled, 5angle valve job, etc...) Ferrea Valves Crower Springs Crower Retainers Stock Camshafts JG Camgears Integra Type R Manifold (Was customized to fit!) 68MM BBK TB Block JG Pro Series Block 83mm Arias Pistons (Played it on the save side incase something happens I just need to bore it to a 84mm then) Eagle Rods Sleeved Brand New Bearings, Thrust Washers, Welded Block guard Engine Top kit and bottom kits Crank work, blueprinted and balance etc.. Turbo Inline Pro Manifold Garrett T3/T4OE Turbo Greddy Type 24 Intercooler Greddy Type S Blow Off Valve HKS Racing Wastegate RC 310 Injectors (I need bigger ones real soon) Vortech 12:1 FMU B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator BBK 255 LPH Fuel Pump Tranny GSR Tranny LS Countershaft LS Final Drive NOW HERES LITTLE INFO: The engine which I just listed above ^^^ is not finished yet because the head hasn't come back from the machine shop and the turbo is not in yet. I had 2 motors, I have a 92 Civic Hatchback CX and it had a completely stock b18b with the Turbo setup I mentioned above minus the Garrett Turbo. I used to have a Turbonectics T3/T4 Small Ball Bearing Turbo. But what I am here to say is. On my completely stock motor(even head gasket) I have ran a 13.1 on street tires. My motor was a b18b until I blew a head gasket on the highway because I leaned out. I decided to sell that motor and it was time to finish the built motor. I will try to see what I will be running with the built motor and the new turbo I am getting. I just recently bought my Bogarts 13x24.5x8 so I am hoping on hitting 11's. I know I could of ran at least 12's when I had my stock motor prob. Mids 12's with bogarts. My conclusion is should I wait till the end of the season and see what my car runs, or should I just slap a vtec head on sell my built head and built a vtec head??? i have basically a built 1.9 b18b 2nd Part: With all that stuff to my head should I keep it and running or Should I just buy a vtec head. If I do get a vtec head which one would be the best head to get? I will be building it no matter what. I have noticed what those LS/Vtec's and CRVTEC'S are pushing out. Around 10psi. I didn't know that JG uses GE sleeves now...intersting...
