LS/VTEC headgasket??

Default LS/VTEC headgasket??

I wanna now if i have the right headgasket for my ls/vtec 84.00 and this is the part number :12251-P8R-004 .I hope that somebody can tell me this is the richt one.

You can contact Golden Eagle Mfg. They have LS-VTEC specific gaskets in almost any bore size

the one you have is a b20 gasket some people use those we dont but i know some people do

What is the different between the b20 gasket and the one that you have??And could someone tell me if this headgasket works well on a ls/vtec setup for drag use??

The gasket you have will work, but the dowel holes will need to be opened up on the opposite side to accept the dowel pin to align the gasket and head. The Golden Eagle gasket has that dowel hole precision machined to be able to accept the dowel on the opposite side. This assures proper alignment of the head, gasket and block for long service life.

Butt when i use the GE dowel pin i still have to modifie the headgasket??

Yes. The dowel by itself only allows the head and block to be aligned, but the gasket still needs to have the larger dowel hole in it to allow the dowel to fit through it. The only way to have a true " plug and play " LS/VTEC is to use the Golden Eagle headgasket and dowels.
