Depends on your power goals. The eclipse t25 is one of the smaller t25s. The largest being the Garrett sr20det t25.

You won't have any top end with that turbo and will do well to make 180-200hp, all of it being midrange. The t25 is a good street turbo for d16 but not so much on a dohc motor due to the differences in head flow and cam profiles.

And there's so much more to a turbo setup than just the turbo.

Before you do or but anything read the stickied FAQS at the top of this forum at least twice .

Generally speaking when you're taking a high compression NA motor and turbocharging you on a 1.8 you probably want to run larger wheels since this better suports much lower boost pressure. I'd probably want to run at least a T28 hotside/wheel with a larger compressor wheel like the 76mm off a GT30

Not the same thing as a Greddy kit. 15g or 18g turbos are what come in Greddy kits. Both are much larger than a t25

And as for making 370 on a Greddy 18G I bullshit. Compressor wheel doesn't even physically flow that much and the turbine wheel will choke well before that.

Those results are a little questionable. The general consensus was that dyno was fudged, more than likely the correction factor or some weight/tire size calculation. Especially since he's using a mustang dyno which reads lower... If you put it on a dynojet and it made even more then everyone else would call bullshit . The wheel simply doesn't flow that much. 370 i could believe since that's the absolute limit of the 18g compressor wheel. Unless on 100 octane it's making peak power at some low rpm value due to boost pressure then tapering off at higher rpm.

He's making gt2871r or TD06SL2-20G power so something doesn't add up. The 20g flows 700cfm or roughly 48lb/min. The 18g might be 40-42 lb/min.Also the td05h turbine wheel won't flow enough regards volume to break the 400whp mark. If you ran the next size turbine wheel then yea maybe the 18g would make 400 but not as it's configured from Greddy.

There's just too much power for the turbos wheel combination and sizing.

Maybe it's because it's on a 1.6l motor. It would obviously use less airflow at a given power level than a larger displacement motor. I know the sohc guys are making high 300s with the 18g but that's solely due to the differences in airflow requirements.
