Default lowering comp.

According to c-speeds compression calculator my comp is 11.6:1. It is a lsvtec w/ b16 head pr3 pistons on a b18a block. My question is I want to run around 5-7 psi and I am on a pretty tight budget. So if I put on a thicker head gasket would this lower the compression enough for me to run 5-7 psi with proper fuel management? Any help is appreciated.
