Lower comp pistons for 81mm R18 engine?

Default Lower comp pistons for 81mm R18 engine?

Are the older model engines pistons that are also 81mm interchangeable with the R18 model? Like the B16 and B18?

I want to get lower compression pistons to turbo the R18 safely. I know there are lower comp pistons for the older 81mm pistons.

Anyone with first hand experience?

Modern turbo applications stay 10.0:1- 11.0:1 or so. That whole "lower compression for boost" logic hasn't been followed for over a decade

So, no worries at all to boost 10lbs to the 10.6:1 stock pistons right?

"10psi".. Too general a term. That depends upon turbo size and tuning accuracy...

This isn't NA where you bolt parts on and go..

As far as this particular thread goes, I am really looking for anyone who has first hand experience and knows if any of the other OEM 81mm pistons are interchangeable with the R18 81mm pistons....(like in the B16 and B18 enignes......

You're not going to find that. It isn't typically done. Check your specs, see online choices, and go from there, sir.
