like title says, does anybody have any info on the top fuel japan turbo civic type r? im looking for hp and tq output, if they used aftermarked internals or not etc... any info on mods or where i can find the info. thanks guys!!

There were a few versions of the Mie Top Fuel Civic. The fastest, which was a completely gutted EK9 was close to 400bhp and had approximately the same torque as an EVO VI Lancer.
The B16b engine (in the fastest version) was completely built (forged pistons and rods, with a Top Fuel exhaust.) Most of the turbo components were rebadged Apexi or HKS kits. One of the turbines that was used was a garrett t3/4 .63AR (I know this because I have the same turbine)
There are few videos of this car running on a track. It handles very poorly, but extremely quick.
BTW..this wasn't street legal anywhere...basically it was a billboard car for Top Fuel Japan

no....there were a few lite tune civics and integras that made under 220whp that used stock internals. They used rebaged internally wastegated HKS turbo kits. They were made just give a bit more torque. These kits were street legal but gave very little advantage in the power range.
One thing to remember about Top Fuel kits is that they are VERY expensive. You could probably piece together the same kit using the same exact parts, or parts that are similar or even better and save a lot of money over what MTF charges.

oh, i dont plan on buying a top fuel turbokit, thats just crazy, i already have one i peiced together with a bb turbonetics unit, i was just wondering what they were able to do on stock internals beause i know there car does a few time attack events here and there, so i was basically curious as the strength of the stock internals under boost in a road racing enviorment.

That top fuel civic was in there along with the esprit turbo hatch, roccos's turbo hatch and the allmotor b20 jun hatch. Sick video! I been looking for these cars online but cant. I have it on tape in japanese. I want it in at least english subtitles and on dvd.

I have a few of these videos, especially the one that features the 400ps Civic Type R. The thing handled really poorly; nearly going off the track in several spots...but its really fast and sounds mean

For some reason I want to say its volume 20. (dont quote me on that, i lent the video out)I do know the topic/theme of this volume is FF racing. (front engine front wheel drive racing) there is also a seen where I guy takes a pulsar gtir and gets his *** wooped on the wangan. It shows him going to some tuner shops and putting money into his car. He than goes back to the wangan hunting for the people that beat him before. Its a hot volume but I cant understand any of it. I just have to take a guess as to what is happening.

I remember one of these cars from Yasuji Hirano. The one I most remember was that It was the original B16B that was stroked to 87.2mm (GSR/Type R) with pistons and rods that was about 9.5:1 or so.. Here's what I remember it having:
Blitz ( who uses Borg-Warner) K3T turbo
Blitz Gauges
E56 wastegate
NISMO Fuel Pressure regulator
SBC Spec R dual-solenoid boost controller
SARD 550cc Injectors
HKS Twin power ignition system
A'PEXi N1 Pro Damper suspension kit
4.685 Final Drive
Advan A048 tires (17 X 8.5 front), (15 X 7.5 Rear)
Earl's Stainless lines
Endless body kit and brake pads
Titanium Exhaust
The one in Mirai Z's example used the K3T turbo..

Totally tuned Toyota Starlet Turbo vs. stock Skyline GTR R34
Starlet won 2 of the3 categories:
Top speed -starlet
track Tsukuba -starlet
1/4 mile -GTR
It loss the 1/4 mile drag because the stock clutch died.
