Default Log manifold performance

Hi!

I`m about to turbo-convert my H22A engine.. full rebuild.

I want to maintain ac and power steering.

Turbo is a Garret GT 3076 with 0.63 a/r

I found a cast iron manifold on ebay that look OK, the wastegate placement is placed just above the turbo. A bit small, only 38mm.

What do you guys think of this manifold? It is this or the lovefab mini-me.

My hp goal is 400whp.

I have only worked on one H motor with a log mani and we had problems with it. It was similar to this one only a 38mm wgate hole, the auction for this says 35mm.

Granted we were using a t3/t67ho on the car but with a tial 38mm on it and the largest dumptube we could fit with the least bends to speed up flow, it still creeped horribly in 3rd and up. With a 12 lb spring in the wastegate, it would run up to 19 lbs from 3rd on.

If I were you, I would look into a better mani for a car with that much exhaust energy but maybe someone else who has had more experience with H's and log mani's will chime in.

to keep ac and ps, ur stuck w/ a log. i was thinking about this same mani. i asked everyone that picked one up about it and everyone gave good feedback. just scroll through their feedback and contact everyone that picked one up. i ended up picking up a spoolin log tho. you might be able to bore out the wg hole or oval it or taper it.
