Just Finished my gauge cluster.
I've been working off an on, on this project, trying to figure out how to make things work and look good also. Just finished my gauge cluster... What do you guys think?
I've also finished the center dash and will have pictures of that up soon. I installed a profecb and a timer under the radio...came out nice.

Wow thats dope...I wonder if it would just be cheaper to build a gauge cluster like this then actually buy one.
Also, do they make speedometers in 2 1/6 size?

Wow, that looks great! Could you do a write up on the steps you took to get it that far? I'm in the process of putting some guages in and would like to try something like that. NICE JOB!!

Exactly ...did you cut it out of a big sheet of plastic or sheet metal or what? Very nice and custom

I really wish someone made an aftermarket gauge cluster with turbo gauges that you could just drop in. Wow a concept.
Instead companies concentrate on gauge clusters with ricey colors and stupid ****.

Thanks everyone. The cluster is out of my '92 DA. I don't care for the pillar look and wanted to see what else I could do with my car. I purchased a AC Autotechnics 4-in-1 tach that is mounted to the left of my cluster. The tach includes oil temp, water temp and oil pressure. Leaving the need for a EGT, Boost Pressure and Fuel Pressure gauge. The cluster your looking at is the original piece. I removed the face plate and then filled up the tach and water temp gauge with fiber glass mat. I did this four times to give it strenght. After that, not much was left of the indents from the old gauge locations. I filled the rest in with bondo and sanded it. I then measure out and hole sawed my face plate and sanded it until the guages slid right in. The back was completely hacked out and then bracketed with straps. The set up is really solid and the gauges do not more. Only problem, when the lighting is turned on in the cluster, the Greddy gauges are shadowed. To solve this, Illumineedle is going to make me a custom fitted speedo and fuel level needles with u/v lighting. The needles with look like a stock white during the day and a "Ice Blue" at night. I don't care much about the color, as long as it lights up well and looks clean. Fit wise, only a small about of plastic was cut from the car. It wasn't anything important, and the cluster fit right in.
