Default jrsc some quick questions

i just put my jrsc on my 97 gsr and im running all stock pullys for now. and im running stocking injectors right now i have a fmu on the way. i was woundering i took it out for a drive to make sure everthing was good. and i gave it gas and my boost gauge read 4psi then the car boged and it was like something was holding it bac it was way slower then when i ran it na. is this because i dont have the fmu on it now ? now i dont really know how tight to make the belt that goes to the blower itself. so do i just tighten it till it gets hard to tighten the bolt ? any info would be great thanx

wait for the fmu! hell, ditch the FMU setup and get it tuned. you're asking for trouble. You also need the fuel inrichment relay.

well, you can get it from Jackson for 138 bucks.. but try finding a used one first.

http://www.supercharger.com/Sh...43173

just take the belt off and wait until you can get it tuned.

Boost with no extra fuel is a very good way to liberate your ring lands.

Feel the belt when you tighten it, not the bolt. Tighten it until it is difficult to deflect it 1/2", then see how it holds boost to redline (after you get the fuel situation worked out). Tighten it until it holds boost to redline.

The part that you circled is the pressure switch.

The correct and complete instructions for installing a JRSC on a GSR are here:

http://www.supercharger.com/gr...0.pdf

Blox and other manufacturers make FMU's with different rise rates. If the one that you get matches whatever the JR unit is, then it may work right. If it isn't, then it may not work right. Seeing as there's a JR FMU sitting on ebay at $10 right now, I'd just use the JR FMU if you're not going to get decent fuel management.
