I would like to know this too.
Can you install a Walbro fuel pump on a otherwise stock car and run it a few days before installing the tubo?

i would think that it would be perfectly fine, because the pump only pumps more when it feels no preassure therefore pushing more fuel through, otherwise, the factory fpr and injectors only allow so much fuel...

i mean if you have a turbo car that is daily driven, you dont really use more fuel...

but i just want to be sure

i installed my walbro w/ an aem fpr at the same time and i noticed the fuel pressure according to the b&m fuel pressure guage went up about 5 or 6 psi so i adjusted it back to stock specs with the fpr.

this was done on a totally stock car at the time.

good thanks i wanted to know this as well. i took my B&M fpr off so if my fuel press goes up with the walbro in could i just "lean it out" a little bit with the vafc or should i just leave it at what it is?

isnt the fpr suppose to control the amount of fuel going into the engine along side the injectors?
so then changing the pump shouldnt affect it

i noticed that when i installed my walbro 255 that without touching anything else the fuel pressure went up a bit and i was running richer. and all pressure aside, i'm sure the pump flows a greater volume as well. however, the return system will just return any unused fuel to the tank anyway, to a point. i say if you're bored then go ahead, it's probably no big deal, and if your luckly it wont't work and you can be even less bored spending time putting the stock pump back in.
