I'm going to try alcohol injection
I want to construct the ghetto alcohol injection kit for myself. I have my D-series fuel pump sitting in a box. DO you think the pump can handle denatured alcohol injection? Is my pump sufficient or TOO much?
After time the alcohol may damage the pump internals, but it should be fine for a while. It's a cheap pump so don't sweat it. How are you planning on setting it up so it fuels only at boost?

use some redline methanol additive it work great

But then I'd have to keep on buying Redline's expensive products...Somehow I think that the pump will fail on me.
Anyone know where I can get an adjustable boost pressure switch?
I've heard that running the alcohol/methonol as low as 50/50% mixed with distilled water gives the same results as pure alcohol. Maybe someone who has tried different mix ratios can comment on how this works?
I'm running the SMC alky kit, however I don't have any dyno data. My ecu was throwing a code on dyno day
( I still can't figure out why I don't have oil pressure
)
A little advice:
Though it's a PITA, do the trunk mount reservoir. You'll be able to hold much more enthanol and won't have to refill as often. Also Nalgene make great containers for this. I picked up a 2.5+ gallon HDPE one for 47.00.
If you use pure methanol or ethanol, you'll be able to cool the alcohol to -78 C
(-108 F) with dry ice, thus you'll be able to cool the intake charge even more. I need to get a thermocouple and look at the temp drops, but I haven't had time yet.

Darn I can't find the reference, but in the last week I "think" I read that a ford F250 fuel pump has all stainless internals and will work with alky. Don't take my memory for gospel, perhaps you could search the net with Ford or F250 and alky and find the reference.
Come to think of it, it was a link off an article on here. Anyone remember it?

I found the reference I was looking for the other day. Take a look at http://www.geocities.com/rad87gn/tech/alcohol.html It is by the Buick Grand National Guys, but it provides good theory and practice on alky/water injection and has a list of kit makers at the end.

You can run up to a 70/30 ratio 70 being alky. I just put some fuel additives as lubrication at 1/2 cup per alky fill. I run it with the stock ef windshield tank and Jrsc pump I got off my friends rail when he switched to Nitromethane. Why is it that everyone thinks Newbies are stupid? I'm not an idiot yet everyone thinks my advice is bad. It works for me after all. Sorry if I just now got my internet hook-up. I just moved to Wisconsin.

Hey, I'm from Milwaukee.
Anyways, what did you use as a spray nozzle? NOS?[

I use a 35 shot nozzle from an older domestic kit. I live in kenosha on the north side and where in Mil. are you that's a big city you know.
