AFI is actually very good. If you do a search on H-T you'll find several cars with AFI kits.
Thumbs up to a good company and good customer service!!

If you search, you'll see that they are a very good company and nothing to worry about!!
Honestly I would compare AFI to Full-Race (they are both my #1)

AFI is right up there with full Race when it comes to popularity.

Contact a1320addict. Incredible customer service. They're great kits and a great company. I just purchased a kit from Joel (a1320addict). He gave me a sweet deal on everything, and even let me custom order the kit to my liking.

The shelf kits they sell are VERY high quality; all the major components are top brand name parts, and AFI makes the sexiest manifolds I've ever seen.

This is the one I ordered with my kit:

I haven't even gotten my kit yet, but I'm already very pleased with their service. I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about going with an AFI kit. I would recommend them to ANYONE over ANY other kit.

Here's what they have going on for Honda-Tech members right now:

Call them to make sure their OTS kits are now backpurged. My friend had a couple AFI kits he's tuned, and most of them had welds that were internally sugared from poor/no backpurging. Other than that, he said they were great kits for the price, great quality and made great numbers. IIRC one was a d16y8, 35x WHP at 18psi, 57trim.

Maybe some of the old stuff, but anything in the last year1/2+ is as equal or better than the top names in the industry today.
