Default How safe am I w/ my setup?

This is what I have: Let me know if I'm ok running like this....

2000 Integra LS
Drag 3 Turbo Kit
AEM fuel rail (stock injectors)
Walbro 255 intank fuel pump
NGK cold plugs (stock ignition)
Tial 35mm waste gate

With this set up, I'm running 0.4 Bar (5.8 psi) off the tial wategate.
The car is running well now, But will I need to retard my timing, if so how do I do that? Also i'm not using the FMU, just running the intank pump, will this effect anything?

Yeah you will detonate BAD, get some sort of fuel management! you may think its running good but you cant allways hear detonation. You will allso need an inline fuel pump for the FMU. seriously DO THIS SOON. your risking it

honda stock fuel management is good for up to 7psi of boost............that is stock EVERYTHING. .....i wouldnt go any higher w/o upgrading ur fuel management, if not ur on borrowed time.

just my 2 cents
(ive been running 5psi on a stock d16z6 for over 6 months now, and i wrap in up to redline in the heat of the summer.........)

thanks for all of your help. your info is greatly appreciated, it can save us alot of money. But I know that alot of people run different setups that can both work. But i just get mixed feedback and I cant come to a reasonable conclusion, other than I know I need more fuel, but the approaches of upgrading the fuel system are all fawked. Check out this thread. Some people choose to go w/ an inline and fmu, others go w/ a hi flowing intank pump, but lack a fmu due to the hi output capabilities of the intank. for this conversation, I am refering to the wallbro 255 intank unit, and running on stock internals on a b18b1 w/ only 5.8 psi, and 6.5 psi the most(due to the spring of the tial 35mm wg). Your information, can save me alot of trouble. Please help. Here is a link to what some other peeps think.

Just think about it, all turbo kits i ahve seen all come with some type of fuel managment, wether it be e-manage or just an FMU. It is a MUST for me. Remember you cant allways HEAR detonation. borrowed time is right!

NONE its a silent killer, some evan use doctors stethascopes. J&S ultra safe guard is a cool way to get around detonation.......
im telling you, if you dont run any fuel managment (other than stock) you WILL detonate. i promise you. Evan at .4 BAR there is just not enough fuel to keep up. REMEMBER Honda never inended for there engines to see boost.

You can run the FMU with the inline and with the intank pump. Just use all the things that came with the kit.

i know for a fact that id be running way to rich w/ the inline, wallbro 255 intank, and the 12:1 fmu simultaneously for only 6.5psi. still stuck.

what setup do you all run? have you had any problems w/ your motor or your fuel system? maybe that will shed some light as well. thanks for your input.

get an fmax fuel management kit, with its 2 extra fuel inejectors, u dont have to worry about fmu's, oversized injectors, etc etc, and u can safely run 10psi on stock internals. 15psi with race fuel on a cool night out at the track. ( i have a countless number of friends running this setup, going on 3 years some of them - it works)
