Default How Much Boost Is Too Much?

I HAVE A B16 WITH A FULL RACE STAGE 3 SET UP (T3-T67), TUNED WITH HONDATA S300 AND ON 100 OCTANE GAS. BOOSTING RIGHT NOW LIKE 11LBS OF BOOST.
STOCK INTERNALS!
CAN I GO UP ON BOOST?
AND SHOULD I?

THANKS..............................

Heat is your number one enemy, followed by excessive cylinder pressure. A stock B16 on that turbo can comfortably support 300whp with a good tune on 100 octane. You're probably already making more than that.

You can go as far as you want, but the more you go, the less life you're going to get out of the motor. It depends on how much you drive it, what your goals are, and if you mind if the motor blows up in the near future. I personally, would keep it at 11psi and build it if you want more out of it.

if you were intending on running that setup on the stock engine, you didnt think ahead very much....that turbo is going to be pretty laggy on a stock B16. Also, i dont know what i would dare push that turbo to on a stock bottom end....

it is laggy on my built b16, but when she hit 30 psi it is like a light switch.

Don't be a ***** worrying about 'will it blow' and such crap. USE the t67 the wya it should be, crank it up past 40psi!! And don't worry about the stock MAP sensor only reading to 11.2psi. Your tuner can do the ign timing based on sound alone.

I'd suggest getting a smaller turbo. There are turbos many steps smaller than can still max out 100 octane gas past the limit on the stock internals. Not only that, but you won't have to deal with an NA B16 until you see boost at 6k.

why risk it imo, even if u have a built block waiting u dont want a piston into the head and now thats useless too.
