how much boost on stock internals?
So I'm just curious and would like to see a discussion. How much boost would you all say that it is safe to run on stock internals? and with what kind of cooling solution? What kind of fuel solution?
tell me your thoughts . . .

well, i forgot who it is, but there's a guy in this forum that runs 22lbs on a stock motor, stock ecu and a inlinepro head gasket.
I'm guessing 15 max...with larger injectors

I was wondering the same thing. I've been reading alot about turbos and everything I've read talks about upgrading your injectors and fuel pump before any boost. I've got to believe that a minimal boost of 8psi or less is safe. What is everyones thoughts? Is anyone running a stock 1991 Civic/CRX 1.6L engine on 8psi. Is anyone running more on stock?
on my civic w/ DRAG g3 i was running ~7psi on a bone stock DX (y7) motor for months.. no problems.. ive recently been running ~10psi on the DX block w/ y8 head/intake manifold and thicker headgasket and so far everythings been ok.. my ultimate goal is 12psi but taking it slow..
as for fuel etc.. i ditched the Vortech FMU that came with the DRAG (seeing fuel pressure at ~120psi is scary to me) and got a ERL MF2 w/ 2 440cc Lucas injectors, and the fuel pump im using is the secondary fuel pump that comes w/ the DRAG kit, Airsomething i think.
DRAG intercooler (obviously) for cooling the charge..
